The museum is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and on Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm. On both Christmas days (25 and 26 December) the museum is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., on New Year's Day (31 December) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on New Year's Day (1 January) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is closed on King's Day (27 April).
The regular entrance fee is 12,50 euro per person; for children from 5 to 17 years old a ticket costs 6 euro and for children up to 4 years old the entrance fee is free. There are also discounts. Information about the entrance fees can be found on the page "Admission & Hours".
A visit to Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder takes approximately 50 minutes to 1.5 hours.

The museum has limited access for the disabled; the exhibitions can be reached by lift, but the monumental building of the museum is only accessible via narrow and sometimes steep 17th-century staircases. Driving is permitted at the entrance to the museum. There is an adapted toilet.
No, dogs and all other pets are not allowed in Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder, with the exception of care dogs.
There is an unguarded cloakroom in the museum, and lockers are available free of charge.
In these lockers you can store your coat and bag or backpack. (Hand) bags up to A4 size can be taken into the museum. Unfortunately, we do not have space for large suitcases.
Taking photos without flash and video recordings without light are allowed, but only for personal use. Publishing or reproducing recordings of the museum and its art objects is not permitted. Photo, video and film recordings using flash equipment, lamps and/or tripods are only possible with prior written permission from the Marketing and PR department of Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder.
Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder is easily accessible by public transport, by car or on foot. Due to its central location on the Red Light District, you can easily walk to the museum from Central Station and from the surrounding metro stations. Unfortunately we do not sell gift vouchers. However, there are many beautiful gifts to be found in our museum shop.
Our museum café is located on the first floor of our entrance building. Here you have a view over the Red Light District, we serve the best apple pie and we serve delicious coffee.
Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder has developed two programs for children. These tours through the museum are fun and educational for the whole family.

Due to the limited space in the historical house it is necessary that all groups, including school groups, book in advance. In this way we can spread the number of visitors as much as possible and guarantee your group the best possible visit. Your group can visit the museum with the audio tour. This is included in the entrance fee and is available in Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Chinese. Large groups are divided into groups of ten people. Because of the many stairs, the museum is not easily accessible for people with mobility problems.
Stiletto heels and walking sticks with a sharp point are not permitted in the museum, as these can damage the original 17th-century floors.
No eating, drinking or smoking is permitted in the museum rooms.
Telephone calls are not allowed in the museum.
Of course, no one is allowed to touch the works of art. However, it often happens that visitors/students point at something with their finger or pen and touch a painting or sculpture. Not everyone is aware that the objects in the museum are 'real' and usually unique.
If students/participants need to answer questions on paper or draw, use writing boards as coasters. These are available at the museum reception desk. It is not allowed to write on tables, showcases or walls.

Taking photos or movies is allowed, but only without flash or tripod. For some temporary exhibitions the objects may not be photographed or filmed.
Objects that pose a risk to the safety of visitors and staff, the works of art or the buildings are prohibited.
In the event of a calamity, follow the instructions of the employees.
Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be denied entry to the museum.
Take the other visitors into account; limit or avoid disturbing noises.
Unfortunately, the historic house of Museum Ons' Lieve Heer in Solder is not accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs; however, the exhibition rooms are accessible. Ask the staff for assistance.
The instructions of the museum staff must always be followed.
Backpacks and bags (larger than A4 size) and jackets can be stored in the cloakroom, where there are also (free) lockers.
Only museum teachers of Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder are allowed to show visitors around. All other visitors can visit the museum using the free audio tour. For hearing impaired visitors there is information to read.
The teacher/guide of a group is responsible for the course of the visit and for the behaviour of the pupils/participants. We expect you to provide at least one supervisor for every ten pupils/participants. The supervisor stays with the group during the visit.
Do you want to ensure that the pupils/participants do not cause nuisance to the other visitors? Nuisance is mainly caused by noisiness and running in the museum.
If your group is divided into smaller groups, agree in advance on a joint end time and a meeting place.
